The 5th annual Year 13 Leavers meal has taken place at Trinity Academy. As the Sixth Form grows in size those leaving have increased in number until this year we saw over 100 students gathering to celebrate their time at Trinity and look forward to entering the world of University, further training or work. Staff and students dressed in their finest, enjoyed photographs and ate a three course meal together. Currently 65 students hold offers pending from University and we took the opportunity to wish them well.
Mr Trevor Shay, Head of Sixth Form gave our awards in a variety of categories, from the couple most likely to be married to the Sixth Former expected to be the first millionaire. Lydon Eccles the Head Boy and Jennifer Amesbury, the Head Girl, both gave votes of thanks on behalf of the students. Mr Nigel McQuoid, former ESF Director of Schools spoke engagingly encouraging all to consider how their time at Trinity had challenged them not just in what they could do but in the values that they held and the people they are.
The Principal, Ian Brew concluded the evening by presenting the Principal's award to four students who had contributed, often in unheralded ways, to the wellbeing and life of those around them. These were Liam Cuttell Rhys Craddock Rachel Leng and Kelsey Sheppard.
