At Trinity Academy the official school day is between 8:25 am and 3:45pm. The school is open either side of this time frame to allow students to use facilities such as computer systems and the library. There are also extra-curricular activities hosted outside this normal day.
The structure of the day is:

| 10.50 – 11.35am | Period 3 |
| 11.35am – 12.20pm | Period 4 (lunch: Years 7 and 8) |
| 12.20 – 1.10pm | Period 5 (lunch: Years 9 and 10) |
| 1.10 – 2.00pm | Period 6 (lunch: Years 11, 12 and 13) |
| 2.00 – 2.15pm | Afternoon registration |
| 2.15 – 3.00pm | Period 7 |
| 3.00 – 3.45pm | Period 8 |
