Music

Overview

The Music department comprises of 2 full time members of staff. There are two dedicated classrooms, both of which are equipped with keyboards, computers and specialist music software, alongside 3 practice rooms and a recording studio.


Our Key Stage 3 course offers our pupils a range of experiences which cover many different areas of music. In addition to this we run after school clubs for both KS3 and 4 which includes several bands, a choir and music technology clubs.


Course Outline/Overview

 

Key Stage 3

This is a core subject during Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) for all students. During this time the following topics are covered through a variety of practical, theoretical and listening tasks:

Key Stage 4

BTEC Music Extended First Certificate
