Law

“Gosh!  I didn’t know you could study Law at A-Level!”

Oh, yes.  A small department, but getting bigger all the time, Law helps to broaden the scope of A-Levels offered at Trinity.  At the moment we only need a staff of one, with one class for AS and one for A2.

Mr R Mapletoft has BA from Cambridge University (MA (Cantab)) and has just contributed all the PowerPoint presentations (over seventy of them) to an electronic version of the standard text-book;  we have already started to use them at Trinity.  Will we ever be able to offer the subject via video-conferencing?...

Course Outline/Overview

Currently Law is only offered at A-Level. Over years 12 and 13 the course covers the following topics:

  • Sources of Law
  • Law Reform
  • English Legal System
  • Crimial Process
  • The Courts
  • Criminal Law

Crimial Law is the main focus of Year 13.
