BITE

The BITE (Business, Information Technology and Economics) department has 12 dedicated classrooms. Each of the air conditioned rooms is equipped with networked students PC’s and a teachers PC connected to an overhead projector with viewing screen. Work from the teacher’s machine may also be viewed on the students monitor due to the investment in specialist software.


All students have access to the Trinity Academy Intranet and filtered access to the Internet. The department has a comprehensive digital video library and a shared area where students can access a range of resources to help them with their studies.

  • GCSE Business & Communications Systems (advanced and late entry)
  • GCSE Business Studies
  • BTEC Business (certificate and diploma)
  • BTEC First certificate in ICT
  • GCE Business (single and double awards)

  • GCE ICT

 

We have twelve full time, specialist Business Studies and ICT teachers.

Key Stage 3

This is a core subject for Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9). During these years we cover the following topics:

 

  • Office based application - word processing, spreadsheets and powerpoint. Taking all three to an advanced level
