Trinity Academy raises funds to support the local Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a local charity. This is currently being constructed on a site near Dinnington near Rotherham. The hospice will provide care for children in the North Midlands and South Yorkshire, a population of roughly 1.2 million. The hospice will cost about £4 million to build and about £1.8 million per year to run, all of which has to be raised through charitable donations. The building is on the point of being opened for emergency cases and is expected to be fully operational at the end of 2007.
