The Maths Department comprises ten members of staff. Lessons are taught in a suite of eight dedicated classrooms all fitted with Interactive Whiteboards. Full details of the course structure for each key stage can be found here.
Students are taught in sets throughout Year 7 - 9, with regular termly assessment. The following topics are covered.
The outlines of topics taught can be found in the file listed above. Some classes may work through the material more quickly than others; therefore the professional judgement of each individual member of staff may require that some topics are taught in a different order from that shown in the file referenced above.
Our students take part in the Junior Mathematics Challenge. We also run a weekly puzzle club.
