Particular congratulations are due to the five students for whom national tests predicted a less than 5% chance of achieving 5 A*-C passes. They achieved an average of seven GCSE passes each.
Outstanding students
Kathryn Atwell achieved the most outstanding results this year with 5 Grade As in Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and German. Having averaged 97% across all modules and achieved a level ‘S' (‘exceptional') in her Cambridge entrance exam, Kathryn leaves College to read Mathematics at Cambridge.
Nine students achieved at least four A grades: Kathryn Atwell, Sarah Denton, Laura Glister, Matthew McKenna, Shaun Proud, Hayley Ridley, Adam Saul, Jessica Smith and David Wong-Pascua.
Jonathon Robson, Gail Ward, Onyinyechi Okwu, Bethan Layfield, Alexander Cavanagh, Gileng Ditchburn, Andrew McAloon, Nicola Small, Hannah Spurr achieved three As, bringing the total number of students achieving three or more grade As to eighteen.
Rebecca Maccabe was amongst the top ten students in the country in Applied Business.
