Having recently been crowned champions of the High 5 Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programme Netball Tournament, the promising Year 5 Netball squad travelled to New Deleval to compete in a friendly match. Our Year 5's were to take on New Deleval's Year 6 team. New Deleval are very experienced and talented but the girls were determined to try their best. They put on an outstanding performance and drew with their opponents 5-5. Next, two Year 5 teams played in yet again another close match, this time ending in a narrow 2-1 defeat for our Bede girls. Both teams showed exceptional sportsmanship and determination; this was a friendly match that we hope to repeat again soon.
